School Youth Program
Saugus Federal Credit Union has always understood the importance of teaching our youth how to save early on. Most importantly, it is essential to improve our young members' financial management awareness as they transition into adulthood so they are able to make sound and responsible decisions with money matters.

The Credit Union Guide for Student Money Makers
SFCU has teamed up with the Evans, Ballard, and Veterans Elementary Schools of Saugus for an educational but interactive and fun Youth Education Program. Once a month, during the school year, a member of the credit union personnel visits each school and transforms a 5th grade classroom into a credit union branch office. Students are designated various responsibilities from door greeters, tellers collecting the students' deposits, runners who escort the individual classrooms to the "branch" to make their deposits, and students closing the transaction by handing out new envelopes to those students who have just submitted their deposits. Each time a student makes a deposit, his/her name is entered into a raffle for a grand prize drawing at the end of the school year!
